Rockport-Fulton Good Samaritans was established in 1990 with a commitment to serving Aransas County residents experiencing food insecurity. For more than 35 years, our community has come together to ensure that no one has to face hunger alone.

Today, our work is powered by dedicated volunteers and one full-time Executive Director who coordinates daily operations, community partnerships, fundraising, and strategic initiatives. Our financial operations are supported by our Board of Directors, Treasurer, and contracted bookkeeping services to help ensure accountability and responsible stewardship of donor funds.

The need continues to grow. Rising housing costs, utility bills, healthcare expenses, transportation costs, and inflation have made it increasingly difficult for many working families, seniors, and individuals on fixed incomes to afford nutritious food. More and more households are being forced to choose between paying bills and putting healthy meals on the table.

In 2025, Rockport-Fulton Good Samaritans served 8,503 unique individuals through 9,346 pantry visits, distributing more than 233,000 pounds of food and providing an estimated 194,700 meals to our neighbors in need. Our work is made possible through partnerships with the Coastal Bend Food Bank, local retailers, churches, businesses, volunteers, and generous donors who believe that no one in our community should go hungry.
