The American Red Cross Coastal Bend chapter has been serving the community since the chapter was chartered on September 16, 1916. For 100 years this chapter has provided examples of everyday people dong extraordinary deeds to alleviate human suffering. Throughout the chapter's rich history, the services that have been provided serve as a window through which the history and culture of our community can be viewed.

Today, the Coastal Bend Chapter serves 19 counties including Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Calhoun, DeWitt, Duval, Goliad, Jackson, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Lavaca, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, and Victoria counties with life-saving service including disaster relief, CPR training, and military support.
