Broken Chains Recovery Center

A nonprofit organization

Broken Chains Recovery Center's mission is to provide a safe, Sober Living environment for those who may be homeless or suffering from a substance abuse disorder, always giving our veterans first priority, including peer support through Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Faith-Based Recovery groups.

Broken Chains was founded in 2009 by Robert Reed it is a Faith Based Sober Living Facility. It Is a fellowship of addicts and alcoholics who have joined together to help one another through the struggles and temptations of addiction. We offer hope and encouragement by sharing our faith in a power greater than ourselves. We offer Support Group Meetings open to the public at 8 PM seven days a week. In 2021 we had 13,352 attendees at our meetings. We are the only facility in the Coastal Bend to offer Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Freedom In Christ all in the same location. Our Community Outreach Team makes contact with homeless individuals and offers them a way to get off the streets.
