Testimonials

In her first days, a survivor met with her victim advocate, beginning the process of case management and setting a plan in motion to achieve her goals. Within weeks of her stay, She applied for and received multiple job opportunities, initiated steps to gain custody of her children, and started the process with the housing authority to secure a home of her own. She engaged fully in the resources available to her-attending both individual and group counseling sessions, applying for and receiving food assistance, and leaning on the support of staff as she rebuilt her sense of stability. Her stay at the shelter has marked a turn defined by the strength and determination. - Shelter Staff
