Rockport-Fulton Good Samaritans Inc

Rockport-Fulton Good Samaritans was established in 1990 with a simple mission: to provide short-term aid to residents of Aransas County who are in need of food, essential goods, and other services. That is still our mission today!

The Rockport-Fulton Good Samaritans team is made up primarily of dedicated volunteers, supported by a small part-time team. We are pleased to share that we have hired our first paid part-time Executive Director to help guide our growing organization and strengthen our mission. To ensure accuracy and accountability in our financial operations, we also engage a contracted bookkeeper who works closely with our Treasurer to maintain sound fiscal management and transparency.

Each day, new and different needs and challenges come through our doors, and we do our best to meet them. The rising cost of living has created tremendous hardship for many in our community. Higher rent, utility rates, and healthcare costs-combined with low-wage jobs and a lack of affordable childcare-have made it increasingly difficult for families and individuals to make ends meet. Many are struggling just to cover the basics.

Rockport-Fulton Good Samaritans serve as a local food source for those in need. With the help of our donors, the Coastal Bend Food Bank, and local supermarkets, we provide staples, meat, fresh produce, bread, and other food items. Last year, we served more than 6,450 households.
