Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation

The Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation (CBWF) is a grassroots, community-based nonprofit organization with a long-standing history of serving disenfranchised individuals and families throughout the Coastal Bend. Our mission is to take the lead in providing health and wellness initiatives through treatment, awareness, education, and advocacy.

Founded in 1986 as the Coastal Bend AIDS Foundation, our organization began with concerned citizens delivering food and blankets to individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. As treatment advanced, the organization grew to provide expanded care and support services for those living with HIV/AIDS, eventually becoming Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation in 2012 to reflect its growing mission and services.

For 40 years, CBWF has responded to the evolving needs of our community by expanding access to care, addressing gaps in services, and supporting those who may otherwise face barriers to health and wellness.

Today, CBWF provides comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare, behavioral health and recovery services, HIV care and support, sexual health and infectious disease testing, community health outreach, youth substance prevention and education programs, breast cancer support services, and community resources and advocacy.
