Fundraiser Story

I raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters because I’ve seen what mentorship can do. As a veteran, former school board president, and now Director of BBBS, I’ve learned that when a young person has someone who believes in them, everything changes. BBBS connects caring adults with kids who just need someone to show up — to listen, encourage, and remind them their dreams matter. I’ve seen shy kids grow confident, and families strengthened by that extra layer of support. Every dollar we raise helps recruit and train mentors, giving more children hope and direction. This isn’t just charity — it’s community, it’s service, and it’s faith in action. I believe God calls us to lift others up, and through BBBS, we’re doing exactly that — one child, one mentor, one story at a time.
